Lucy is a highly experienced listed and unlisted fund manager, Director and Responsible Manager, with a career spanning 20+ years.
She commenced her career with BDO in Brisbane, before joining BDO Sydney’s corporate finance team where she was responsible for a variety of projects including financial modelling, due diligence, M&A, IPOs and valuations.
In 2010, Lucy joined Pelorus Property Group, seeing it through its delisting, demerger and reinvention as BlackWall Limited (ASX: BWF).
As Head of Funds Management, she was responsible for execution of all capital transactions for listed and unlisted companies and trusts across a portfolio of around AUD 500 Million of assets under management, and for the investor relations and communications function of the group.
In 2017, Lucy left BlackWall to join Waratah Funds Management Ltd, a newly established, boutique fund manager specialising in Australian hotel investments.
As Director & Head of Funds Management, she was appointed to grow funds under management and develop a framework for the analysis of the hotel portfolio. During her tenure, FUM more than doubled and Waratah’s biggest retail fund, Waratah Hotel Group, achieved an average annual return to investors in excess of 18% p.a.
Lucy now provides independent compliance and investment management to Courtley Roy as a AFS licensee and fund manager. She holds a small number of directorships and responsible manager positions, including Responsible Manager/Key Person on the AFS licence of an ASX Top 10 company.
Lucy holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and a BCom, as well as industry qualifications in property investment and finance.
